Year 2 to Year 3 Transition

At the Federation of Netley Abbey Infant and Junior Schools, we work hard to ensure that transition from the infants to the juniors is as seamless and stress-free as possible for our children and families. Through open communication, close collaboration between staff across both schools and a strong team approach, we ensure that every child feels supported and confident as they move on to the next stage of their education.

Teachers and support staff work closely together to share knowledge about each child’s learning, wellbeing and individual needs, helping to provide continuity and familiarity. We also keep families informed throughout the process and provide opportunities for children to become familiar with their new environment, routines and staff, ensuring a smooth and positive transition experience for everyone.
